The region has something to offer every type of cyclist: Whether by bike or electric bike along the Tauernradweg cycle path, which passes right by our doorstep, or discovering the beauty of nature and the mountains by mountain bike. Conquering the 2,117 metre-high "Hundstein" is a particular challenge - incidentally Europe's highest grass mountain, also accessible by electric bike via the Aberg route.

An unbelievably large hiking network offers gentle alpine strolls as well as more challenging mountain tours into the Steinernes Meer and to the summit of the Hochkönigmassiv mountains. The 74 km-long "Königsweg" hiking trail is popular with all physically fit hikers who love the sensational views it offers. The mountain railways, which operate during summer, facilitate ascents and are perfect for anyone wanting to quickly and conveniently reach the lofty heights.

Golf, swimming, horse riding, archery...

Summer holidays in Saalfelden and the Hochkönig region have plenty more to offer, proven by the beautifully located 18-hole "Urslautal” golf course situated close to our property. Anyone looking to cool down on a hot summer’s day won't be disappointed: The Sommerstein swimming baths in Maria Alm are just a 3-minute drive away, and those preferring the idyllic setting of a bathing lake should visit Lake Ritzensee in Saalfelden for a day of relaxation. Archery is available in two magnificently located courses and horse riding fans can take advantage of the three riding schools.

For the perfect summer holiday in the mountains of the Hochkönig region, we offer you the HochkönigCard free of charge. This regional card allows you to travel free of charge on the hiking bus and public transport. So you can easily get from A to B. The 6 summer cable cars in Maria Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach are also included in the HochkönigCard. In addition, many attractions in the Pinzgau are also discounted or even free with the card. Splash around in the outdoor pool, enjoy a fun toboggan ride on the Biberg or visit the National Park Centre in Mittersill. All this is possible with the HochkönigCard!
